October 10, "Aspens In The Valley"

Since I didn't get to paint the aspens yesterday I thought I would try today. I found this great little patch of color that was just glowing.

October 9, "Echo Lake"

Today I was planning to paint some Aspens up on Squaw pass. As I drove Squaw Pass I noticed how the snow really took a toll on the aspens and I wondered what Echo lake looked like with the fresh snow. So I headed up the pass to Echo Lake. All I can say is I'm glad that I changed my mind.

October 8, "Frozen Fruit"

Today was the first day of snow in the Evergreen and Denver area. I went out planing to do a landscape scene of the snow fall, when I came upon this little fruit tree frozen in time. For some reason it was far more appealing to me than the big scene. I enjoy finding subjects that I normally may over look by trying to find "The Big Scene".

October 7, "Exploding Color"

I was out today when I saw this old cotton wood tree along a dirt road exploding with color. I found the colors to be wonderful and so I began to paint. About half way through the painting the wind deiced to kick up and well, fortunately for me I had started with the tree, because after about 10 minuets of the wind only half the leaves were left.

October 6, Beeing The Cosmos

Today I was at my mothers house. She has some wonderful cosmos growing all around and filled with a warm buzz from all the bees. The only down side of todays painting was that I left my camera at home.

October 5, Ol Yellow

Today I went past the neighbors again and saw their Ol Yellow tow truck sitting among the aspens. It made for a wonderful scene to paint.

October 4, Fall Asters

I was watering my gardens today when I noticed this great batch of asters in my creek side garden. I couldn't believe the color, so I decided to stay at home today and paint my Asters.
